Terrence J. English is President of Sovlink Corporation and a founding shareholder, Investment Committee member and Director of Baring Vostok Capital Partners, an asset management firm which specializes in managing private equity funds in the former Soviet Union.
Mr. English was on the board of the First NIS Regional Fund from 1994 to 2001. In 1990, together with Russian colleagues, he founded Sovlink Corporation, the first Russian-American merchant bank. He is a member of the Supervisory Council of the Chernigov Family Fund, a nonprofit charity in Russia which supports the dependents of service members killed in Chechnya, and serves on the Board of the Mohonk Preserve.
Mr. English earned an MBA from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 and a BA in Political Science from the University of Portland in 1968. He is a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army Special Forces from 1968 to 1974.
